Once again, our counsellors at law, Mateusz Oskroba and Łukasz Zboralski, held a meeting on changes in personal data protection. The training concerned EU legal regulations, namely the GDPR. These regulations apply also in Poland and they shall come into force in May 2018.

However, companies should already verify the way in which they process personal data and adequately optimise the data security policy. These steps should be taken early to go smoothly through the forthcoming changes, without fear of potential consequences.

And unfortunately, the consequences will be much more severe for entrepreneurs than before since a company may be charged a fine of up to EUR 20 million or 4% of the annual turnover.
