We proudly announce the success of our Law Firm, earned by a team of specialists from the litigation law and energy law departments. By taking appropriate legal steps, it was possible to secure our Client’s interests and to protect them against the increase in electricity prices imposed by the supplier.

As a result of the action, the Court shared the Law Firm’s position, finding the unilateral price change introduced by the energy supplier to be unauthorised, despite a significant increase in wholesale energy prices. Taking into account not only contractual provisions but also the supplier’s offer, the 2^nd Instance Court also upheld the arguments of our lawyers and dismissed the appeal of the other party.

The above case proves again that even significant increases in market prices do not always provide the basis for increasing prices agreed in the contract. That is why it is so important to properly review all the documents related to the process of contracting the purchase of electricity and to make sure that they include provisions protecting our interests, because seemingly standard clauses may be of major importance for potential dispute resolution.
