New Water Law – training in Poznań came to an end
November 16, 2017Our meeting on the new Water Law came to an end. The meeting was attended by entrepreneurs who use their own water intake and pay only a fixed fee. They are the ones who will have to cope with the forthcoming changes.
The new Water Law introduces rules for collecting fees that have not been paid so far by entrepreneurs. Starting from 1 January 2018, a new authority called Wody Polskie (Polish Waters) will collect both fixed and variable fees. Ultimately, the variable fee will be charged based on readings of water consumption meters to be provided by Wody Polskie at their expense. However, by the end of 2020 the measurement of the consumed water will not be possible since Wody Polskie will not manage to provide the relevant equipment to the companies in question.
Still, entrepreneurs should already take interest in the subject to verify their permits required under Water Law provisions and optimise the costs of water.
